Other duties as assigned. Organize and conduct both group and private ski lessons for guests. Demonstrate and communicate proper ski techniques in accordance with the guidelines established by the Highlands Snowsports School and Professional Ski Instructors of America (PSIA). Be familiar with and adhere to the policies and procedures of the resort Team Member Handbook and the Snowsports School Manual. Qualifications 18 + years of age. Must be reliable, dependable, and timely.

PSIA/AASI

Certified Level 1 status is strongly encouraged (or international equivalent). Must have a genuine desire to pass on knowledge of the sport and inspire others to enjoy it. A great guest service personality. A growth mindset (an openness to learning and feedback). Basic English language skills. Previous experience in ski teaching preferred.

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Must be able to ski for up to 8 hours per day.
• Must able to teach ski lessons in harsh winter weather (cold, snow, wind, rain, sleet, ice)
• Single Bed, no pets. If interested, inquire during job interview
• $350 a month

Work Environment:

• The instructor work environment is primarily outdoors in the winter weather. Temperature can vary greatly throughout the day and from day-to-day.
• Must be able to ski in snow, low visibility, powder, ice, hard pack, rain, sleet. Position Type and expected hours of work:
• The ski instructor position is full-time, part-time, peak part-time, or temporary based on candidate availability.
• Typical work day is 8:30am
• 4:30pm.
• Must be available for weekends, weekdays, and holidays.
• Some instructional programs occur in the evening after 4:30pm but never after 9:00pm.

Qualifications:
