•$800 a week 2 hours ago Qualifications Sports rule interpretation Sports team experience Sports coaching class instruction Parent communication Organizational skills Teaching Full Job Description Northern Heat Volleyball is looking for excited and encouraging coaches for our U12
•U16 club teams. Our program focuses on knowledge of the game, encouraging coaching, and promoting growth within our players on and off the court.
Season Length:
End of October
•Last weekend of April / First weekend of
May Practices:
Evenings twice a week
•Monday / Wednesday or Tuesday / Thursday based on team.
Competitions:
Weekends
•9-10 local (around the Twin Cities) competitions, 1 travel (Wisconsin Dells or Des Moines, IA based on team) competition.
Coach Responsibilities Assistant Coach:
Attend practices / competitions. Assist in coaching of players and running practice. Support and communicate with Head Coach.
Head Coach:
Plan and attend practices, attend competitions. Lead practice and coaching of players. Collaborate with assistant coach. Communicate schedule, goals, updates etc. with families of the players. Qualifications Volleyball experience
•coaching experience preferred, playing experience required. Strong understanding of volleyball skills / form Strong understanding of current USAV club season rules Encouraging / uplifting coaching style Ability to adjust skill-teaching to meet athletes' needs Strong organizational skills for practice planning and game decisions Strong communication skills for teaching players and communicating with families Strong collaborating skills to work with the program and assistant / head coaches If you're interested in being considered for a coaching role with Northern Heat, please apply here or email to learn more about the program and fill out our coaching questionnaire!
