Swim Team Manager Jewish Community Center - Omaha - 3.7 Omaha, NE Job Details Part-time | Full-time From $20 an hour 22 hours ago Qualifications CPR Certification Swimming First Aid Certification Organizational skills Teaching Constructive feedback for students Full Job Description The Jewish Community Center (JCC) is seeking a passionate and organized Swim Team Manager / Head Coach / Instructor to lead our aquatics program. This unique, full-time position combines team management, coaching, and swim instruction—ideal for someone who loves the water, thrives on building community, and is committed to youth development and excellence. As a key member of our Aquatics team, you'll lead the Swim Team, manage team logistics, coach competitive and developmental swimmers, and provide swim instruction to participants of all ages. You'll also help foster a welcoming, safe, and growth-oriented environment that reflects the values of the JCC.
Key Responsibilities Hours:
Mondays and Wednesdays, 4:00-8:00 PM. Optional hours on Wednesdays from 12:00-4:00 PM. Opportunity for full-time hours for those interested in teaching swim lessons or similar duties. Scheduling is flexible. Swim Team Management Coordinate practice and meet schedules, registrations, and travel arrangements Serve as the primary liaison to swimmers, parents, and assistant coaches Maintain team records, rosters, communication, and budget oversight Organize special events, clinics, and seasonal celebrations Head Coach Duties Lead and design age-appropriate practices focused on technique, endurance, and personal achievement Provide positive, constructive feedback and encourage sportsmanship and teamwork Supervise and mentor assistant coaching staff Represent the JCC at swim meets and league meetings Swim Instructor Responsibilities Teach group and private swim lessons with an emphasis on safety and skill-building Adapt instruction for all ages and abilities Track student progress and communicate with families What You Bring Previous experience coaching a youth swim team and teaching swim lessons In-depth knowledge of competitive swim training and stroke development Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills Current lifeguard, CPR, and First Aid certifications (or ability to obtain) USA Swimming Coach certification strongly preferred Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as needed Why Work at the JCC?
