Girls Lacrosse Head Coach Position Summary:

Archbishop Hoban High School is seeking a girls lacrosse head coach to join our athletic program. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, a history of successful coaching experiences, and a commitment to total program development. Additionally, the candidate will coach lacrosse in support of the mission of Archbishop Hoban High School and incorporate our core values into the program. We are a private Catholic high school in the heart of East Akron and rooted in the Holy Cross tradition. Position Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the development and vision of the lacrosse program.
• Maintain high standards of team behavior and adherence to team rules and expectations.
• Promote individual growth in athletic skills, teamwork, discipline, and respect.
• Solid knowledge of player development specific to high school lacrosse players.
• Commitment to the program and holding all students and adults associated with the program to the same standards.
• Utilize a variety of instructional techniques to meet the needs and improve the abilities of student-athletes.
• Lead the development, growth, and promotion of the lacrosse program.
• Supervise practices and assist with both individual and team development.
• Maintain lacrosse equipment.
• Attend staff development meetings, clinics, and other professional activities to improve coaching performance.
• Perform any other related duties as assigned by the Athletic Director.

Position Qualifications:

• Active Ohio pupil activity permit or the ability to acquire one.
• Successful completion of online coaching training modules.
• Supervise competition and practice during after-school hours as well as on weekends.
• Leadership experience, with a proven ability to support, motivate, and inspire others to achieve shared goals
• Complete appropriate criminal records check and have attended, or willing to attend a VIRTUS Protecting God's Children training are required for this position.
