Competitive Youth Basketball Coach Sherwood Basketball Organization Sherwood, OR Job Details Seasonal Up to $3,000 a year 6 hours ago Benefits On-the-job training Opportunities for advancement Qualifications Teamwork Coaching Team development Leadership Teaching Full Job Description Sherwood Basketball Organization (SBO) is looking for experienced, passionate basketball coaches to lead our competitive youth teams. We're looking for coaches who love developing young athletes, building confident teams, and creating a positive competitive environment both on and off the court. What You'll Do
  • Lead up to 3 practices per week.
  • Coach games and tournaments throughout the season.
  • Teach basketball fundamentals, skills, strategy, teamwork, and game IQ.
  • Develop players of all skill levels through positive coaching.
  • Build a team culture centered on confidence, character, sportsmanship, and competition.
  • Communicate positively and professionally with players, parents, officials, and SBO.
  • Represent SBO as a positive role model on and off the court. What We're Looking For
  • Previous basketball coaching experience.
  • Strong basketball knowledge and leadership skills.
  • Reliable, organized, and prepared.
  • Positive, encouraging coaching style.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with players and parents.
  • Commitment to creating a safe, fun, and competitive environment.
  • Must pass a background check and follow SBO and tournament guidelines.
Season:
November 1 - March 8
Travel:
Up to 2 nights at 2 tournaments. If you're passionate about helping young athletes compete, grow, and love the game, we'd love to hear from you.
Pay:
Up to $3,000.00 per year
