Job Description
Summary:
We are seeking a passionate, responsible, and dedicated Youth Soccer Coach to join our competitive soccer program. As a Youth Soccer Coach, you will play a pivotal role in developing young athletes and fostering their soccer skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship in a safe, nurturing environment. This role is perfect for someone who wants to inspire and guide the next generation of soccer stars.Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute age-appropriate soccer training sessions focusing on skill development, tactics, and fitness.
- Foster a positive, inclusive team culture, emphasizing sportsmanship, respect, and teamwork.
- Evaluate players' abilities and provide constructive feedback to improve their skills.
- Plan and coordinate team training, drills, and game strategies.
- Communicate effectively with players, parents, and staff regarding schedules, events, and player progress.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of participants during training and matches.
- Coach multiple teams or age groups, as required.
- Participate in club events like season tryouts, team evaluations, and player development programs.
- Report regularly on player development and progress.
Qualifications:
- A strong passion for soccer and motivating young athletes.
- Previous coaching experience, preferably in youth soccer.
- Familiarity with soccer rules, techniques, and strategies.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Patience and a nurturing approach when working with children.
- Basic first aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Coaching licenses or certifications (e.g., USSF "D" License, USC) are preferred.
- Experience in organizing and implementing soccer programs.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as per practice, game schedules and other club duties.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of coaching experience.
- Futsal experience a plus.
- Knowledge of the college recruiting process, a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Mac Numbers, Pages, etc.
- Must pass background and drug screen testing.
- Valid and current driver's license; personal vehicle.
- Authorization to work in the US.
Skills:
- Bilingual in Spanish is advantageous.
- Highly organized and self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and prioritizing skills.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to work in various outdoor weather conditions.
- Physical activities include moving equipment such as goals and benches.
