Job Description

The Department of Natural and Physical Sciences at Graceland University seeks candidates for a Tenure Track Assistant Inorganic Chemistry Professor position to start January 1, 2027. The candidate should have a Ph.D. (ABD is acceptable) in inorganic chemistry, or extremely related field at the time of appointment (MS candidates will be considered for a Non-tenure Track Assistant Professor term position). Primary duties include teaching courses in general chemistry (including laboratories), analytical chemistry and/or instrumental chemistry (including laboratories), chemistry for nursing students (general, organic, and biochemistry), and some laboratory preparation/equipment maintenance. Other duties include but are not limited to mentoring senior research projects, advising students, helping with recruiting new students, continued professional development, serving on department and university committees, and providing other service to the university.
