Open Until Filled Job Description Job Summary/Basic Function The Assistant/ Associate Professor is expected to provided students' instruction, advising, curriculum development, program design, and lead/conduct research activities including published articles/books.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Teach courses as assigned. Minimum teaching load is twenty-four credit hours annually. Courses are delivered face-to-face, online, and hybrid. Maintain required office hours and provide academic advisement to assigned students. Participate in the development, review, and improvement of curriculum. Participate in departmental, college-wide, and university-wide committees and activities. Serve as faculty advisor for a student organization. Work collaboratively with other faculty on schedule development, marketing events, student and faculty recruitment, retention efforts, and other departmental or college-wide activities. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Master's degree in content area or closely related with at least 18 graduate credit hours from a regionally accredited university. Considerable professional experience in the discipline at a high managerial or supervisory level. Commitment to teaching excellence, innovative curriculum development and academic advising for students in the college. Willingness to teach at both the main campus and the CSU Dayton location. Demonstrate potential for developing publishable research. Experience and interest in teaching students from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds. Ability to use technology in instruction and advising. Preferred Qualifications Ph.D. or earned doctorate in related discipline. Experience in developing and teaching online courses.
