Allied Health Description The Adjunct Faculty Echocardiography Program Coordinator will work closely with the Director to meet program accreditation requirements and support and develop the program. Examples of Duties Must demonstrate teaching skills by selecting and implementing instructional strategies for teaching, and assessing student achievement of the learning objectives of the program. Teaching experience in Echocardiography, Echo Imaging, etc.; Teaching faculty will: Meet with courses and laboratories at scheduled times. Instruct, advise, consult with and evaluate the performance of enrolled students. Develop and maintain course outlines, syllabi, lesson plans, course reference/bibliography, assignments, tests, and other course materials. Maintain student records, attendance, grades, and/or other documentation as required. Minimum Qualifications Associate degree in cardiac sonography with 3-5 years clinical experience. Current ARDMS, (RDCS) or CCI (RCS) credentials in cardiac sonography. Must be registered in at least one of the cardiovascular specialties for which they assume a primary teaching role. Must successfully pass a criminal background check. Supplemental Information
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree preferred. Knowledgeable of the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs/Joint Review Committee on Education in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (CAAHEP/JRC-DMS) Standards and the skills to write for CAAHEP accreditation. At least three 3-5 years' experience in teaching on a college level and affiliated with an accredited cardiac sonography program. Experience with developing didactic and clinical outcomes/curricula on a program and course level. Excellent technology and classroom management skills.
STATUS/SALARY
This is a regular adjunct faculty position with salary to be determined by the adjunct faculty union contract.
