ADJUNCT INSTRUCTOR OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE

The Division of Social Sciences in the College of Arts and Sciences at Southern Wesleyan University invites applications for a part-time, on-campus criminal justice instructor. The division seeks instructors capable of teaching its Introduction to Criminal Justice course. Opportunities to teach additional introductory and upper-level courses in an applicant's specific area of expertise may also be available. Qualified applicants will be given specific teaching assignments as needs arise.

Ideal candidates will have:

A master's degree or higher in criminal justice or a related field. A mature faith in Jesus Christ. A commitment to the Christian liberal arts tradition and the mission of the university. A desire to integrate Christian faith and learning in the classroom. Demonstrated excellence in undergraduate teaching. Founded in 1906 and located in Central, South Carolina, Southern Wesleyan University spans 350 acres and is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges. With a student body of approximately 1,000 students, SWU is a diverse community with a 14:1 student-to-faculty ratio. The Division of Social Sciences offers B.S. degrees in criminal justice studies, human services, psychology, recreation and sports management, and social science. The criminal justice studies major currently serves more than 25 students.
