Instructional Designer Opportunity in Livermore, CA Join our dynamic team at PG&E Academy as an Instructional Designer, where you'll have the chance to design, develop, and update technical training courses. This position offers the flexibility of working remotely with occasional onsite requirements in Livermore or San Ramon, CA. If you're a creative, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a collaborative environment, we want to hear from you! As an Instructional Designer, you will: Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to conceptualize training design and content.

Define learning objectives, course structure, learning content, and assessments.

Analyze existing content and tasks to tailor training for the target audience.

Develop learning materials following company standards, including presentations, web-based training (WBTs), and course guides.

Conduct meetings with SMEs for content review and validation, incorporating feedback effectively.

Self-manage tasks and deadlines, proactively communicating issues and risks.

Requirements

4 years of experience developing instructor-led, eLearning, or virtual training in a technical environment.

Proficiency with Storyline.

Strong knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional design methodologies.

Experience with technical writing.

Strong task analysis skills.

Proficiency in PowerPoint and Word.

Preferences

Safety knowledge.

Familiarity with QuestionMark and Author-it.
