04/17/2026 PK-12 Teaching and Learning Coordinator Position Overview Delano Public Schools is seeking a visionary and detail-oriented PK-12 Teaching and Learning Coordinator. This leadership position is central to our mission of empowering every learner to achieve their highest potential through academic excellence and quality opportunities. The Teaching and Learning Coordinator oversees the district's curriculum review cycle, state and local assessment systems, and the implementation of a robust Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS). The successful candidate will serve as a key bridge between district administration and classroom instruction, ensuring that our educators have the tools, data, and professional development necessary to support every student's success. Key Responsibilities
Curriculum Leadership:
Lead the PK-12 curriculum continuous improvement cycle, facilitating department and grade-level meetings to ensure vertical and horizontal alignment with Minnesota State Standards. District Assessment Coordinator (DAC): Serve as the primary DAC, managing the administration of MCA, MTAS, and ACCESS testing, maintaining the district testing calendar, and ensuring data fidelity across all platforms (Pearson AccessNext, WIDA, etc.).
MTSS Coordination:
Support the 4-12 MTSS framework by researching interventions, co-facilitating district-wide MTSS meetings, and serving as the primary administrator for data platforms like EduCLIMBER.
Professional Development:
Coordinate onboarding and continuous Professional Development (PD) for new curriculum adoptions; participate in the District PD Committee to align staff growth with strategic goals.
State Reporting and Compliance:
Complete all required state reporting, including the Comprehensive Achievement and Career Readiness Report and MEGS data submissions.
Strategic Collaboration:
Act as the district representative in MDE leadership networks (Math, ELA, Science, Social Studies) and provide regular progress reports to the Board of Education. Qualifications
Licensure:
Valid Minnesota K-12 Administrative License (Principal or Director of Instruction) or specialized K-12 instructional licensure preferred.
Education:
Master's Degree in Education, Curriculum and Instruction, or Educational Leadership.
Experience:
• Minimum of 5 years of successful PK-12 teaching experience. Demonstrated experience in curriculum development, assessment coordination, or instructional coaching. Familiarity with Minnesota State Academic Standards and MDE compliance requirements.
Skills:
Strong proficiency in educational technology and data management (Pearson AccessNext, EduCLIMBER, etc.); excellent facilitation and communication skills. Contract and Benefits
Schedule:
Full-time, 210-day contract.
Salary:
Salary Range from $90,000 - $100,000
Benefits:
Comprehensive package including health, dental, life insurance, and
PERA/TRA
retirement contributions.
