To Be Determined Job Description The Dixon R-I School District is currently accepting applications for the position of Special Education Process Coordinator for the 2026-27 school year. The Process Coordinator office will be located at the Administration Building, but will serve all 3 buildings. Must have Special Education Mild-Moderate Cross Categorical certification. Supervision of the district special education process from referral through placement, provision of services, appropriate identification and placement of students with disabilities, and district compliance with local, state, and federal requirements for special education. Supervise and coordinate special education programs, policies, and diagnostic procedures. Perform special education diagnostic testing. Organize and ensure completion of all evaluation reports and IEPs. Supervise and coordinate transfers and new referrals. Monitor timelines to ensure compliance. Facilitate IEP meetings. Establish and maintain effective communication with all staff members, contracted service providers, and outside agencies. Assist general education teachers with inclusion facilitation. Attend meetings and training sessions relating to special education as appropriate. Provide professional development to special education staff regarding special education procedures, as needed.
