Job Description:
Partner with Substation and T-Line Engineering to conceptualize training design and content. Define learning objectives, course structure, learning content and assessments. Complete detailed analysis of existing content and each task to be trained/supported for target audience, business process, and systems. Follow company standards, guidelines, and templates to develop learning materials including student and facilitator presentations and guides, activities, scenarios, and assessments. Create instructional graphics, scenarios, or interactions. Write clear and effective instruction and facilitator text appropriate for the target audience. Conduct in-person and virtual meetings with subject matter experts including task analysis, alpha, beta, and answer validation meetings. Engage with subject matter experts for ongoing content review and validation. Receive and incorporate feedback. Self-manage assigned tasks and deadlines to complete deliverables. Proactively communicate issues and risks.
Required Skills:
3+ years experience developing instructor-led and eLearning courseware. Strong ILT design skills, openness to feedback, and ability to pivot quickly. Strong knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional design methodologies. Very strong Task Analysis knowledge and capability. Experienced with PowerPoint and Word. Flexibility to work on simultaneous development efforts, as needed. Comfortable and capable working on a High Performing Team.
Desired Skills:
Experience developing training for utility industry. Experience with technical writing. Experience with QuestionMark and Author-it
