Duties Design and implement comprehensive acro dance curricula tailored to different age groups and skill levels, integrating elements of ballet, gymnastics, and theatrical dance. Lead energetic classes that focus on technique, flexibility, strength, coordination, and artistic expression while ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times. Develop creative choreography for performances, competitions, or showcases that highlight students' talents and progress. Manage classroom behavior effectively to create an inclusive, respectful environment conducive to learning and growth. Provide individualized feedback to students on their progress, offering encouragement and constructive guidance to help them reach their full potential. Collaborate with parents, guardians, or program coordinators to communicate student development and address any special needs or accommodations. Maintain a clean, organized studio space equipped with appropriate mats, props, musical instruments, and visual arts supplies such as sewing or photography tools when applicable. Experience Proven experience teaching acro dance or related performing arts such as ballet, theater arts, or gymnastics. Strong background in choreography and dance instruction with a focus on creative arts education. Experience working with children or youth programs in educational or recreational settings. Knowledge of classroom management techniques to foster discipline while encouraging creativity. Familiarity with curriculum development for early childhood education or preschool-aged students is preferred. Skills in working with students with diverse learning needs or special education requirements are advantageous. Additional experience in musical instruments, theater performance, photography, sewing, culinary arts (cooking), childcare or early childhood development is a plus but not required.
