Duties Design and implement age-appropriate dance curricula that incorporate creative movement, ballet, tap, and jazz techniques tailored for children aged 3-12 Lead lively, motivating dance classes that promote physical activity, coordination, musicality, and self-confidence Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment Develop choreography suitable for young students that emphasizes fun, technique, and artistic expression Adapt lesson plans to accommodate different skill levels and learning styles while ensuring progress and enjoyment Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate student progress and encourage ongoing participation in dance programs Maintain a clean, organized studio space that supports safe dance practice and artistic exploration Skills Extensive experience working with children in educational or arts settings, especially in dance instruction or youth programs Strong knowledge of curriculum development for creative movement, ballet, tap, jazz, and other dance styles Proven classroom management skills to foster discipline while encouraging creativity and self-expression Ability to choreograph age-appropriate routines that inspire confidence and technical growth Experience teaching visual & performing arts with an emphasis on dance techniques suitable for young learners Familiarity with teaching musical instruments or integrating music into dance lessons is a plus Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management strategies to support diverse learners including those with special education needs Skills in lesson planning, early childhood education practices, and preschool experience are highly valued Ability to incorporate additional arts such as theater or photography into dance education programs enhances the learning experience Strong communication skills to work effectively with students, parents, colleagues, and community partners Join us as a Dance Educator where your enthusiasm for the arts will ignite young imaginations!
