Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate dance curricula that incorporate creative movement, tap, jazz, and ballet techniques tailored to children's developmental stages Lead lively, structured dance classes that promote physical activity, coordination, rhythm, and self-expression Manage classroom behavior with effective behavior management strategies to ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment Foster creativity through choreography exercises and improvisation activities that encourage individual expression Collaborate with parents and guardians to communicate student progress and celebrate achievements Incorporate musical instruments, rhythm exercises, and theatrical elements to enhance dance instruction and performance skills Plan special performances or showcases that highlight students' progress and boost confidence Skills Strong background in dance instruction with expertise in creative movement, tap, jazz, ballet, and theater performance Experience working with children across various age groups (3-12 years), including preschool and early childhood education settings Proficiency in curriculum development tailored for young learners' physical and artistic development Excellent classroom management skills to create a positive, engaging learning environment Ability to choreograph routines suitable for beginner to intermediate levels of young dancers Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management techniques Experience teaching visual & performing arts or youth programs with a focus on dance or theater arts Familiarity with musical instruments, rhythm training, or singing as supplementary tools for dance education Skills in lesson planning, tutoring, early childhood education strategies, and special education accommodations if needed Creative talents such as photography or sewing are a plus for developing costumes or documenting performances This role is ideal for passionate dance educators eager to make a meaningful impact on children's artistic journeys.
