A Dance Teacher teaches students in dance movement and choreography. Usually requires previous dance experience. Teaches a variety of dancing styles to individuals or groups of students. Styles may include ballet, tap, hip-hop, ballroom, jazz, lyrical or modern.
Competitive hourly rate (commensurate with experience) About the Program We are excited to launch a brand-new Homeschool Dance & Creative Arts Program designed to give homeschool students a fun, nurturing, and creative outlet! This weekly program combines physical movement with hands-on artistic expression in a warm, encouraging environment. Role Overview We are seeking a reliable, warm, and patient instructor (or instructors!) to lead or co-lead our Monday morning sessions from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The program operates on a rotating weekly schedule :
Week A:
Lead two 55-minute dance classes across different age/skill levels (e.g., Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip-Hop, Acro, or Contemporary).
Week B:
Lead two hands-on creative arts and craft sessions (all crafts and materials are pre-planned for you! We would warmly welcome your craft ideas as well!).
Note:
While our ideal candidate is comfortable teaching both dance and leading crafts, we are open to splitting the role for candidates who specialize purely in Dance Instruction OR Creative Arts/Crafts. Responsibilities Foster a nurturing, patient, and uplifting environment for homeschool children of varying ages.
For Dance:
Plan and teach engaging, age-appropriate dance movement and technique in multiple styles.
For Crafts:
Facilitate pre-planned art/craft projects, managing setup, instruction, and clean-up. Maintain clear communication, punctuality, and reliability every Monday morning.
Qualifications & Requirements Experience:
Prior experience working with children in a dance, teaching, or recreational setting. For teaching dance classes, prior experience is required.
Versatility:
(For Dance applicants) Ability to teach at least 2 different dance disciplines.
Personality:
Exceptionally patient, encouraging, kind, and organized.
Reliability:

Pay:
