Part-Time (Approximately 3 days per week, including at least one evening shift) Miss Fit Academy is looking for an organized, creative, and experienced Creative Coordinator to oversee instructor operations, maintain exceptional class quality, and support the continued growth of our facility. This position combines instructor management, studio operations, and customer service into one dynamic role. The ideal candidate is a dance instructor with strong leadership skills, exceptional attention to detail, and knowledge of Nashville's dance community. This person thrives in a variable environment, can work independently with minimal supervision, and enjoys balancing creative projects with administrative responsibilities.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Instructor Management Serve as the primary point of contact for all instructors. Build and maintain positive relationships with instructors Ensure instructor coverage for all lessons Review the schedule in advance to identify instructor shortages and proactively recruit qualified talent Assign instructors to lessons Track instructor substitutions and payments Ensure instructors are teaching safely, professionally, and in accordance with company policies and contractual requirements Collect and maintain instructor documentation Organize, monitor, and document instructor training and development Maintain and update class curriculums Monitor choreography, curriculum consistency, and teaching quality Address instructor questions, concerns, and performance issues professionally Ensure instructors are accurately representing the Miss Fit Academy brand Ensure all classes maintain high instructional standards Promote a positive, motivating, and professional culture among instructors Teach lessons when available, or ability to step in when needed Studio Operations Open and prepare the facility and equipment for daily classes and group lessons Answer phone calls, emails, attend to customer needs Greet clients, check them in and ensure classes run smoothly Keep everyone organized and on track, according to schedule Book reservations, collect payment, and ring up retail items Ensure clients receive all the necessary information before their lessons begin Manage customer information, prospects and contact clients when needed Perform light cleaning and maintain studio appearance Take out trash and assist with general studio upkeep Capture high-quality photo and video content for social media Assist with retail product ideas and apparel design concepts Learn and support company values and standards Other similar tasks Qualifications Required Dance teaching experience and interested in learning new styles/types Familiarity with the Nashville dance community Strong organizational and time management skills Exceptional attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask, handle conflicts and remain calm under pressure Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Comfortable managing multiple groups of people simultaneously Familiar with or ability to learn MindBody software Exceptional grammar, spelling, and punctuation Efficient with iPhone, Windows, Word, Excel, Gmail, Google, typing Able to improvise and solve problems quickly/creatively Comfortable working in variable climates and securing the facility after dark Residing in Nashville for at least year 1-2 years Preferred Leadership experience Event coordination experience Schedule Approximately 3 days per week Must be available for at least one evening shift each week Additional hours may be required during special events, showcases, or busy weekends A typical schedule would be 11 am to 5 pm (Mon or Tues), 1:30 pm to 8:30 pm (Wed), and 9:30 am to 6:15 pm (Fridays - depending on bookings) OR 9:15 am to 4:15 pm on Saturday if you're not available on a Friday. The specific days can be established based on your availability.
