Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) is searching for a full-time teacher to work at our Little Edison's School! This Monday-Friday position offers a schedule that may vary based on classroom needs, with hours ranging from 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. to 9:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m . As a Teacher, a typical day might include the following: Oversee the educational activities within the childcare classroom Apply standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the childcare field Establish and maintain supportive relationships with children and parents Work cooperatively in a team atmosphere. This job might be for you if: You are eighteen years of age or older High School Diploma or GED 1-2 years documented child care work related experience Have the ability to communicate and work effectively as part of a team Background check results satisfactory to SEL and DEL Current Washington State Food Handlers Permit Current HIV/AIDS and blood borne pathogen training Current MMR vaccination Negative Mantoux TB test result(s) Current Infant, Child & Adult First Aid/CPR certified Meet STARS training requirement in the state of Washington and be listed in the State Training and Registry System Valid Driver's License Ability to meet MVR Qualification Standards of SEL Current Child Abuse and Neglect Training Current Safe Sleep Training Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities Negative drug test result(s) Physical Requirements Lift up to 50lbs frequently Sit and/or stand for up to 8 hours Reach Bend Kneel Twist Location Pullman, WA - This position is located in Pullman, WA.
