School of Education Southern Wesleyan University's (SWU) School of Education and Music is seeking to build a pool of qualified adjunct faculty to teach in its undergraduate education Physical Education program. Adjunct faculty are hired on an as needed basis. Projected hiring date is Fall 2024. This position is located on SWU's main campus in the city of Central, South Carolina.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY
Teaching undergraduate students in the field of physical education. Provide students with pedagogical skills to instruct students in grades k-12. Implementing lectures, discussions, and assignments. Grading assigned papers, quizzes, and exams. Assessing grades for students based on participation, performance in class, assignments, and examinations. Reporting student learning outcomes, class reviews, and analyzing student data. Advising students on how to be successful in class. Staying updated on innovations and changes within their course field.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education . Minimum requirement is a Master's Degree in Physical Education; a doctorate is preferred. Teaching Experience . The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years experience teaching in grades k5-12. Higher education teaching experience is preferable, but not required. Face-to-face Requirements . The ability to serve as an on campus face-to-face instructor. Technology. The ideal candidate will be comfortable and familiar with the use of technology within the academic environment including learning management systems. Mission and Lifestyle Expectations .
