Substitute Administrators may be assigned to provide temporary administrative coverage at elementary, middle, or high school sites and/or District offices during the absence of a regular administrator or when additional administrative support is needed. Responsibilities may include providing leadership and supervision of students and staff; supporting a safe, inclusive, and effective learning environment; addressing student discipline, attendance, and parent concerns; responding to emergencies and operational issues; implementing District and school policies and procedures; supporting instructional programs and special education requirements; and performing other administrative duties necessary for the effective operation of the school or department. Successful candidates must demonstrate sound professional judgment, strong communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to make timely decisions, and the flexibility to effectively serve across District schools and programs in both Santa Monica and Malibu.
