Job Description

We are seeking an Enrollment Navigator for the Student Support Services STEM (SSS-STEM) Program. The responsibilities of an Enrollment Navigator are to assist with enrollment of program participants and provide ongoing support and resources to increase academic readiness and success. The Enrollment Navigator will guide program participants in ensuring they feel a sense of belonging to the program and college and help facilitate a welcoming environment for personal growth. The Enrollment Navigator reports to the Student Support Services-STEM Director. This is a grant funded, part-time, hourly position.
Example of Duties:
Assist the
SSS-STEM
Director with developing and implementing an effective process for identification and recruitment of program participants. Assess the eligibility of students to be interviewed for the program by evaluating the academic and support needs of students as stated in their program application. Assist with student intake, advisement and registration, and coordination of events including summer programming. Provide proactive and strategic outreach to students to maintain regular contact with staff and connect them to college and community resources for additional support. Maintain accurate documentation of students' need for service, notes, and data related to the Student Support Services-STEM objectives. Facilitate workshops on topics related to student success. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Associate degree or higher Experience in higher education working with students. Good technology, communication and interpersonal skills required. Must be able to communicate effectively verbally, in writing, and in interpersonal relationships, as part of an administrative team. Must be organized, detail oriented and maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism. Ability to work some evenings and weekends The completion of a background check will be required for the selected candidate.
Compensation:
Compensation is determined by a variety of criteria, including but not limited to, previous relevant experience, education level, and certifications. The minimum hourly pay for this position is $17.

New Jersey Sick Leave :
Earn 1 hour of sick leave for every 30 hours worked with a maximum of 40 hours of leave per benefit year. (Eligible to use after successful completion of probationary period.)
