An Elementary and Secondary School Administrator supervises teachers, counselors, librarians and other school staff, manages a school budget and finances, provides instructional leadership and monitors progress toward local, state and federal educational standards. Directs student discipline and works with parents and community partners. May work in other school district administrative or professional positions such as school district superintendent.
The Lead Arts Manager delivers CARE curriculum during the school day and leads a robust CARE After 3 program serving approximately 36 or more students. This role provides direct instruction, supervises hourly OST staff, supports program quality, communicates with families and school leadership, and ensures that the school-based CARE and CARE After 3 experience is consistent, safe, trauma-informed, and aligned with Cleveland Play House's education model.
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver approximately 14 hours of CARE curriculum per week during the school day. Facilitate CARE After 3 programming for approximately 15 hours per week. Lead a robust OST program serving approximately 36 or more students. Supervise hourly OST staff and coordinate daily afterschool staffing needs. Maintain positive relationships with school administrators, teachers, families, caregivers, students, and partners. Communicate regularly with principals and school staff regarding program schedules, student needs, family communication, and site logistics. Support enrollment, attendance, retention, family engagement, and student participation in CARE After 3. Maintain required attendance, fidelity, communication, and program documentation. Implement trauma-informed, culturally responsive, arts-integrated programming aligned with CPH pedagogy. Participate in staff meetings, professional learning, site visits, and department trainings. Collaborate with Heads, Associate Directors, Programs Manager, and other education leadership to support program quality, documentation, and compliance expectations.
Required Qualifications:
Experience teaching or facilitating arts education, youth development, OST, theatre education, or school-based programming. Demonstrated ability to work with children, families, educators, and community partners. Strong classroom, group management, and youth engagement skills. Strong communication, organization, and follow-through. Ability to supervise hourly staff and coordinate daily site-based program needs. Commitment to equity, inclusion, trauma-informed practice, and culturally responsive education. Ability to complete required background checks, fingerprinting, mandated reporter training, CPR/First Aid, and other school or licensing requirements. Bi-lingual (English/Spanish)
