Min Hourly Rate $15.05 (Standard); $14.05 (Non-Urban); $16.30 (Portland Metro) Max Hourly Rate $21.50 (Standard); $21.00 (Non-Urban); $22.00 (Portland Metro) Position Summary This recruitment will be used to fill 1 student employee (a maximum of 24 hours per week) for Memorial Union at Oregon State University. The Memorial Union (MU) supports the University mission by creatingmunity centered inclusive facilities and environments, providing formal and informal gathering spaces that build meaningful relationships. We are a student-centeredanization that fosters student engagement through employment and engages in d decision making with the Student Advisory Board. This position will work with the MU Project Manager on projects for the MU, Student Experience Center, Cultural Centers, Child Care Center, and other areas that the MU maintains. Transferable Skill Development OSU ismitted to ensuring students are prepared for success after graduation through intentional skill development as student employees. Thepetencies students develop while working at OSU are defined by the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) as the essential skills employers seek in their hires. In this position, students learn and build vital career-readiness skills in the primary areas below: Communication, Critical Thinking, Teamwork, and Leadership. Position Duties Assisting the MU Project Manager in coordinating projects. Scheduling timelines and scope of work for projects. Working with the building occupants, and the Project Manager in the coordination and plans for iing projects. Prepare and manage verbal and electronicmunication about projects, including job walks with requestors and service providers, record keeping project progress, tracking budgetary records such as bids, proposals, and purchase orders. Coordinating with building occupants, service providers and MU leadership for project impacts such as noise, dust, and intrusion. Using Outlook, Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and Point. Perform light maintenance work and have basic knowledge in how systems function (basic terminology, understand how to fix things, willingness to learn, etc.) Minimum Qualifications Full Employment Eligibility Requirements can be found : hr.oregonstate.edu/student-employment-manual/500-employment-eligibility-requirements Must be academically enrolled in a high school,munity college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling program Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term
