• 50 hours Posting Detail Information Job Summary/Basic Function The University is currently seeking dedicated and responsible students to serve as Gateway Scholar Program Mentors during the early arrival and pre-orientation program that is designed for incoming freshman.

This temporary position requires individuals who are enthusiastic, organized, and capable of providing mentorship to incoming Millersville University students.

Must be available to work with current students before the semester starts. Must possess excellent interpersonal communication skills. Must attend all scheduled trainings and meetings. Must be in good academic standing. (Above a 2.0 GPA) Preferred Qualifications Student Leadership experience either in student organizations or previous work. Customer services experience Must attend all scheduled trainings and meetings Previous experience in customer service, working on campus is preferred, but not required. Job Duties Guiding students to their designated classrooms/workshops Facilitating group activities for your peer mentor group Addressing inquiries or concerns from GSP students Presenting yourself as a mentor and offering guidance as needed Complete delegated tasks during the pre-orientation program Building relationships with GSP students Other duties as assigned Working Conditions and Physical Effort Walking to and from buildings on campus and off campus.
