Position Overview Notre Dame Elementary & Preschool is seeking a dedicated and nurturing Transitional Kindergarten (TK) Teacher to join our early childhood team. The ideal candidate will create a developmentally appropriate, engaging, and structured classroom environment that supports the academic, social-emotional, and spiritual growth of young learners. Key Responsibilities Plan and implement a developmentally appropriate TK curriculum aligned with school goals and kindergarten readiness standards Foster a safe, nurturing, and structured classroom environment that promotes independence and positive behavior Support social-emotional development through modeling, guidance, and consistent routines Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners Maintain strong classroom management and clear expectations Observe, assess, and document student progress; communicate regularly with families Collaborate with preschool and elementary staff to ensure continuity and alignment across programs Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities Integrate age-appropriate Catholic values and teachings into the classroom in a respectful and developmentally appropriate way Qualifications Bachelor's/AA degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development , or related field (required) Valid Teaching Credential or eligibility for TK instruction (preferred) Minimum of 2+ years experience working with preschool or early elementary-aged children Strong understanding of child development (ages 4-5) Excellent classroom management, organizational, and communication skills Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment Commitment to the mission and values of a Catholic school CPR Certification preferred Employment is subject to background check Work Schedule & Benefits Full-time, 11-month position Federal holidays observed, paid Medical benefits offered Supportive and collaborative work environment Pay is calculated based on education and years of experience.
