An Elementary School Teacher teaches elementary school students, usually children ages 5 - 11 who are in kindergarten through fifth or sixth grade, in a public or private school. Teaches all subjects, including reading, writing, math, social studies and science, to one class throughout the school year. Plans curriculum and assesses student progress, manages student behavior and communicates with school parents. May specialize in teaching music, art or physical education, or teach students that are learning English, or work with students with learning disabilities or emotional and behavioral disorders.

Job Description

Are you passionate about teaching and interested in gaining more experience? A local tutoring center is currently looking for amazing teachers for 3rd-4th graders. Work will be Monday through Friday, from 2:30 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. There will be a maximum of 10 students per class, and each teacher will be responsible for only one class. Job Duties (may include but, no limited to):
  • -Must have a bachelor's degree
  • -Work with students to review what they learned at school and preview what they can expect to learn
  • -Plan and conduct various writing, reading, and math lessons that accommodate the skill levels of all the students
  • -Maintain an environment that is clean and conducive to learning
  • -Help with supervision during two break times
