The ideal candidate will create a positive, engaging, and student-centered classroom that fosters a lifelong love of learning while supporting the academic, spiritual, social, and emotional development of elementary-aged students. This teacher will build strong foundational skills across core subject areas and integrate Catholic values throughout daily instruction and classroom life. As a teacher in the Diocese of San Bernardino, you serve as both an educator and a faith-filled role model demonstrating integrity, compassion, and a commitment to educating the whole child in a Christ-centered environment. Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate instruction aligned with Diocesan and California state standards. Create and maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning. Teach core academic subjects including reading, writing, mathematics, science, and social studies. Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs, learning styles, and abilities of K-5 students. Use a variety of formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and inform instruction. Establish and maintain clear classroom routines and positive behavior supports that promote student success. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, achievement, and behavior. Collaborate with grade-level colleagues and school staff to support curriculum planning and school-wide initiatives. Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, school events, and faith formation activities. Integrate Catholic values and Gospel teachings into daily lessons and classroom culture. Skills & Qualifications Strong classroom management skills with the ability to engage and inspire elementary-aged students. Solid understanding of elementary content areas and effective instructional strategies. Ability to design and adapt lessons to meet a range of learning styles and developmental needs. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with students, families, and colleagues. Commitment to Catholic education and the mission of faith-based schooling. Bachelor's degree required California teaching credential preferred; candidates enrolled in a credential program may be considered with a clear plan for completion. Prior experience teaching in an elementary school setting preferred.
