Elementary School Dance CTE Teacher - Professional Dance and Choreography
EMPLOYMENT TYPE
Part Time (60% Position)
QUALIFICATIONS
Valid Preliminary or Clear Designated Subjects Credential authorizing service in the Arts, Media, and Entertainment pathway (or eligible to apply for this credential). Valid English Learner Authorization (or eligible to apply).
REPORTS TO AND EVALUATED BY
Building Principal or designated administrator
JOB GOAL
Under the direction of the site administrator, structures, implements, and manages appropriate educational activities to provide entry-level career dance skills to students.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan, organize, and teach a competency-based dance program that is aligned with California Visual and Performing Arts Standards, Dance Plan and prepare for dance shows and competition opportunities Develop curriculum to ensure collaborative articulation to higher ed coursework Provide differentiated and equitable instructional opportunities for all students Engage families in the instructional program Exhibit collaborative and collegial practices focused on improving instructional practice and professional growth Develop community and industry partnerships for students Order supplies, instructional materials, and equipment necessary for the program Maintain consistent attendance and conform to regular work hours specified under contract Interacts professionally with colleagues, parents, and community Adheres to the Code of Ethics of the Teaching Profession This list of essential functions and responsibilities is not exhaustive and may be supplemented as necessary.

Salary and work year to be established by the Board.
EVALUATION
Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of certificated personnel.
