Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and energetic Elementary Aftercare Teacher to join our vibrant educational community. Duties Supervise elementary students during afterschool hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times Plan and facilitate engaging activities that promote social skills, creativity, and physical activity Manage classroom behavior using effective behavior management techniques to maintain a positive environment Implement first aid protocols when necessary, including CPR and AED operation, to respond promptly to emergencies Collaborate with colleagues to develop age-appropriate curricula that support childhood development and learning goals Maintain clear communication with parents regarding student progress and behavior as needed Uphold all safety standards related to outdoor work, child supervision, and childcare responsibilities Skills Proven experience working with children in educational or childcare settings, including daycare or camp experience Strong classroom management skills with the ability to foster a respectful and inclusive environment Knowledge of first aid procedures, CPR certification, AED operation, and first aid protocols Experience in special education or youth development programs is highly desirable Excellent child supervision skills with a focus on safety and positive reinforcement Ability to facilitate youth group activities and outdoor work experiences effectively Demonstrated team leadership abilities with a collaborative approach to teaching and program delivery Familiarity with childhood development principles and behavior management strategies Background in theater or extracurricular activities that promote creativity is a plus Compassionate Christian counseling experience or understanding of faith-based youth programs is beneficial Join us in creating a joyful, safe space where children can thrive!
