We are a small Montessori microschool where learning extends beyond the classroom into nature, agriculture, projects, field studies, literature, history, practical life, and real-world experiences. We are looking for an educator who is warm, observant, emotionally intelligent, calm, and able to hold high expectations while preserving a child's dignity and independence. This is not a traditional classroom-management position. We are looking for someone who understands—or is genuinely interested in learning—how to guide rather than control.

Loves working with upper elementary children Builds strong relationships while maintaining clear boundaries Speaks to children respectfully, even during correction Understands that mistakes are part of learning Knows when to intervene and when to allow productive struggle Protects student concentration Can facilitate independent and small-group work Is comfortable with hands-on learning, projects, outdoor education, and our farm environment Communicates well with colleagues and accepts coaching Is dependable, proactive, organized, and collaborative Montessori experience is preferred but not required.
