Essential Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver rigorous, standards-aligned instruction that meets the diverse academic, social, and emotional needs of all learners. Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom culture where every student feels valued, respected, and capable of success. Establish and maintain consistent classroom routines, procedures, and behavior expectations that maximize learning. Differentiate instruction and provide appropriate interventions and enrichment based on student needs. Use formative and summative assessment data to monitor student growth, adjust instruction, and set meaningful learning goals. Foster critical thinking, collaboration, communication, and problem-solving through engaging instructional practices. Integrate literacy, writing, academic vocabulary, and meaningful student discourse across all content areas. Incorporate technology and digital learning tools to enhance instruction, collaboration, creativity, and student engagement. Build strong partnerships with families by maintaining regular, positive communication regarding student progress, behavior, and achievement. Collaborate with grade-level teams, special education staff, interventionists, specialists, and administrators to improve student outcomes. Participate actively in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs), data meetings, professional development, and school improvement initiatives. Maintain accurate student records, attendance, assessment data, and other required documentation in a timely manner. Supervise students in classrooms and other assigned settings to ensure their safety and well-being. Demonstrate professionalism, ethical conduct, confidentiality, and a commitment to continuous professional growth. Perform other duties as assigned by the building principal. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or a related field (or willing to pursue a teaching degree via the Transition to Teach model). Valid Kansas teaching license (or ability to obtain one prior to employment). Knowledge of evidence-based instructional practices, differentiated instruction, and effective classroom management. Experience using assessment data to guide instructional decisions. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a professional learning community. Commitment to equity, inclusion, and meeting the needs of diverse learners.
