Job Description
Glassboro Public Schools is currently seeking an Elementary School 5th Grade Language Arts Teacher for the Dorothy L. Bullock School. This position is for the 2026 - 2027 School Year.
Successful candidates must:
Plan and implement a variety of rich instructional experiences to enhance student achievement.
Knowledge in ELA curriculum and NJSLS, with the ability to align instruction, assessments, and learning objectives to fifth grade standards
Collaborate effectively with grade level teams, specialists. administrators, and families to support student success
Maintain accurate student records and communicate student progress and instructional needs effectively
Uses formative and summative assessment data to monitor student progress, identify learning needs and adjust instruction accordingly.
Differentiate instruction and provide appropriate scaffolds, enrichment, and intervention to meet the needs of all learners
Create a positive, inclusive, and student centered classroom environment that promotes academic growth, independence, and respectfuly behavior.
Possess working experience with curricular planning and implementation.
Integrates literacy skills across content areas while fostering critical thinking, communication and a love a learning
Follow district and school policies, regulations, procedures and rules.
Minimum Requirements:
Hold or be eligible to hold a
State of NJ Certification:
(1001) Elementary School Teacher in Grades K - 6
Strong Background in Balanced Literacy, the NJSLA, I-Ready,and Differentiated Instruction.
Ability to Work with a Diverse Population, Including Experience with ELL Students
Successful Completion of Fingerprinting and Criminal History Review Process
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
This is a ten (10) month position with salary and contract terms to be negotiated with the Superintendent and the Board of Education.
EVALUATION
Performance in this position will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on evaluation of personnel.
