Full Job Description Responsibilities:
Demonstrate a love for God and His children. Lead students in daily discipleship through prayer, singing, scripture memory, service, and teaching Biblical truths. Integrate a Biblical worldview into all aspects of the day. Create a classroom culture that is warm and friendly, full of joy, curiosity, and care. Maintain a standard of classroom behavior through clear expectations and procedures to ensure the safety and preservation of the learning environment. Foster critical thinking and problem-solving skills in the classroom. Administer regular assessments and analyze data to inform teaching and development of individual goals for students. Demonstrate a commitment to personal, professional, and spiritual growth. Knowledgeable of social and emotional development in elementary children. Create an educational environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the needs of all students. Prepare instructional materials and lesson plans to meet the individual needs of students. Using research-based strategies with school-approved curricula instructs students to improve academic, cognitive, social, and emotional development. Maintain accurate and complete student records as required by law and regulations. Engage regularly in proactive and timely communication with parents/guardians through weekly newsletters, class and individual updates in the class dojo, parent-teacher conferences, and other parent meetings as needed. Actively engage as a school community member by attending events, staff meetings, discipleship, and other opportunities. Collaborate meaningfully and respectfully with grade level team and co-curricular colleagues to ensure whole child development. Perform other related duties as assigned or directed by the principal.Qualifications and Attributes:
Bachelor's degree or higher Teacher Licensure is preferred. Professing Christian who has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and is committed to Christ-centered education. Must be physically and mentally able to perform the responsibilities and duties of the position. Have a track record of holding high expectations for every student and faithfully working to foster student development and achievement.
