Job Description
Job Type Part-Time Job Number 00477 Division Adjunct Closing Date Continuous Opening Date 04/23/2024 Academic Year Audio (1171) Location Bangor, ME Department Audio (1171) Description This course is designed to instruct students in the acquisition, control, processing and purpose of audio in video production and digital film-making. Students learn the technology, techniques, and requirements for editing and adding additional audio to production sound. This course covers a wide array of audio topics including: audio acquisition, mixing techniques for different formats and specs, sound effects, ADR, and Foley. Examples of Duties
- Provide students proper instruction with content, and utilize text books required for this course to achieve programmatic objectives
- Accurately track and assess student progress and maintain Husson University standards
- Advising the Academic Director on proposed curricular changes
- Assisting the department in experiential assessments & exercises where appropriate
- Assist in the research and assessment of industry trends and future technologies concerning curriculum
Additional Responsibilities:
o Gathering data and preparing detailed documents- Representing the School off campus when appropriate
- Serving on committees, as appropriate
- Performing other duties as assigned by the administration
Typical Qualifications Education:
Masters Degree Required. MFA or other terminal degree preferred.Experience:
At least 1-3 years of work experience in related field. College level teaching experience preferred. Masters Prepared $933.33 maximum per credit hourUndergraduate Course:
Doctoral or Equivalent Prepared $1,016.67 maximum per credit hour- Graduate Course Masters Level Prepared $1,016.67 maximum per credit hour
- Graduate Course Doctoral or Equivalent Prepared $1,100.00 maximum per credit hour
- Rate is dependent upon the number of students enrolled in the course assigned.
