Job Description

Hiring Range:
Commensurate with Experience Job Duties Richard Bland College (RBC) is a two-year, residential, liberal arts transfer institution that focuses on preparing students for transfer to highly ranked colleges and universities. The College is a hidden gem located outside the Tri-Cities region-and its rural setting featuring 750+ acres of wetlands, bucolic forest, and the state's oldest and largest pecan grove. Richard Bland College is accepting applications for its adjunct faculty pool in Logistics. This pool provides a source of qualified instructors for potential teaching assignments as needed. Adjunct faculty may teach a range of Logistics courses, support interdisciplinary collaboration, advise students, and contribute to departmental initiatives under the direction of the Social & Behavioral Sciences Department Chair. Applications will remain active for up to 2 years and will be reviewed as instructional needs arise.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
This position's major responsibilities include: Teaching Logistics courses in accordance with college and departmental policies and procedures. Preparing and submitting timely grade reports and other reports on student performance, as required. Organizing class activities and assignments, relating them to the overall learning outcomes of the courses. Providing input and working with other faculty and staff to review, produce, and/or select course-related materials. Minimum Qualifications Master's Degree in Business, Leadership, Engineering Management, Logistics, or a closely related discipline Demonstrated knowledge of the subject area(s) of instruction Knowledge and understanding of the fundamentals of effective communication and instruction. Demonstrated interpersonal skills and collaborative style. Additional Considerations Terminal Degree in Business, Leadership, Engineering Management, Logistics, or a closely related discipline At least two years of experience teaching in a higher education environment, preferably at the junior college/community college level Knowledge and understanding of the characteristics and challenges of first- and second-year college students. Evidence of teaching effectiveness, including the ability to effectively respond to the academic needs of learners from diverse backgrounds, identities, and experiences Special Instructions You will be provided a confirmation of receipt when your application and/or resume is submitted successfully.
