Job Description

Sun Bright Academy is seeking a passionate and experienced English teacher to provide high-quality instruction to high school students in both academic English and standardized test preparation (SAT/PSAT).
Note:
SAT/PSAT
pay rate is $30-35/hr, regular academic rate is $27-$30 depends on prior teaching experience. Qualifications Bachelor's degree (preferred) in English, Education, Communications, or a related field. Minimum 2 years of teaching or tutoring experience with high school students. Strong knowledge of SAT and PSAT English/Reading/Writing sections. Excellent grammar, writing, reading comprehension, and communication skills. Ability to teach students with varying skill levels in both one-on-one and small-group settings. Familiarity with high school English curriculum and college readiness standards. Strong organizational skills and ability to track student progress. Enthusiastic, patient, and committed to helping students succeed academically. Responsibilities Teach high school English concepts, including reading, writing, grammar, and literature analysis. Prepare students for SAT and PSAT English sections through targeted instruction and practice. Create lesson plans, assignments, and practice tests tailored to individual student needs. Monitor and evaluate student performance and provide regular feedback to students and parents. Maintain a positive and engaging classroom environment. Collaborate with the academy staff to support student academic goals. Preferred Skills Experience teaching
SAT/PSAT
prep courses. Experience working with students in Frisco ISD, Prosper ISD, or similar school districts. Ability to motivate and mentor students toward higher academic achievement.
Pay:
$30.00 - $35.00 per hour
