We are working with a number of primary schools in and around the Stamford area who are looking for graduate teaching assistants who are keen to embark on an exciting journey into working with children with additional needs. Training can begin when you are ready and immediate starts are available. The pay for this role is £93 to £100 per day. About the schools We work with a number of welcoming and inclusive primary schools in the Stamford and Peterborough. These schools offer welcoming and supportive environments where children are encouraged to enjoy learning and achieve their best. Staff teams are committed to creating a positive school culture built on respect, kindness, and high expectations for all pupils. Teaching and learning are carefully planned to ensure that lessons are engaging, purposeful, and accessible for all. The curriculum is broad and balanced, designed to develop strong foundations in core subjects while also nurturing creativity, curiosity, and a love of learning. The roles on offer vary and can be anything from daily supply cover to long term placements for a whole term and possibly the entire school year. Many of our trainee teaching assistants who begin work in this way often go on to be permanently appointed at a school. As a Graduate Trainee Teaching Assistant you will: Make a genuine difference to young children's education, particularly those who are neuro diverse Build relationships with children which enable them to feel safe, heard and motivated Be a place of support and encouragement to children who struggle with emotional regulation, helping them to regain emotional regulation when their day becomes overwhelming Observe and record pupil progress to inform planning and interventions Adapt work set to allow the childen you work with to understand and engage Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff, and other professionals Demonstrate enthusiasm, flexibility, and a willingness to learn Be committed to safeguarding, inclusion, and promoting pupil wellbeing
Requirements:
In order to be considered for Graduate Trainee Teaching Assistant you must fulfill the following minimum requirements: hold an undergraduate degree be able to provide two recent references related to work or study Have a full enhanced DBS clearance or be willing to process one be available to work full time be able to drive and have access to a car Salary is dependant on experience, training and/or qualifications. All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
