Job Description

Assist a BGSU History faculty member with instructing classes, and in the process, gain first-hand experience with college-level teaching.
Career Readiness Competencies :
Career & Self-Development Communication Professionalism Meet with professor before the semester to review class goals, teaching strategies, duties and desk copies. Be available to attend University teacher training sessions such as sexual harassment and confidentiality. Will work approximately 4-5 hrs per week; some weeks may be more hours and some weeks may be less. Attend weekly meetings with professor to discuss duties for following week. Attend all class sessions. Keep track of student attendance. Tech support in classroom. Making presentations. Other duties as assigned. Rising Junior or Senior History Major, Minor, or with at least 15 credit hours in History. GPA of 3.0 or above overall and 3.5 in History classes is preferred. Good interpersonal and communication skills are required.
