Position Summary Information Hours per week Full-time 20 hrs week Days Worked TBD Hours/Shift worked TBD Posting Detail Information Job Summary/Basic Function The Lombardo College of Business is seeking a dynamic and motivated Graduate Assistant (GA) to support faculty, staff, and students in the areas of high-impact student engagement, faculty research, and alumni/community engagement. The GA will play a key role in supporting the Business Living Learning Community ( LLC ), assisting faculty with research, helping with assessment efforts, and planning co-curricular events that strengthen the bond between the College, alumni, and the local community. This position offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a variety of initiatives that support the growth of our academic programs and engage our broader Lancaster community. Required Qualifications All graduate assistants must be enrolled in a Millersville University graduate program; non-degree students and those only seeking post-baccalaureate certification are not eligible. Full-time Graduate Assistants must be enrolled in and maintain a minimum of 6 credits in Fall semester and in Spring semester. Part-time Graduate assistants must be enrolled in and maintain a minimum of 3 credits if Fall semester and in Spring semester. Availability to schedule one-hour meetings with LLC students every other week during the semester. Preferred Qualifications Job Duties Collaborate with faculty to help design, develop, and implement co-curricular and social components of the Business Living Learning Community ( LLC ). Assist in integrating academic concepts into the LLC experience, working closely with faculty to enhance student engagement and learning outside the classroom. Support faculty with their individual research needs, including background literature review, data collection, and analysis. Assist the Dean and faculty in gathering and analyzing data for accreditation and assessment purposes. Aid in the planning, marketing, and organization of on-campus and off-campus co-curricular events that connect alumni, faculty, and the local Lancaster community. Assist with outreach and communication efforts to increase alumni involvement and participation in College events and initiatives. Working Conditions and Physical Effort Posting Open Date 08/25/2026 Posting Close Date Special Instructions to Applicants Graduate Assistant payment and hours guidelines Graduate Assistants must work 300 hours (FT) or 150 hours (PT) per semester. Stipends are paid 8 payments throughout the semester and are paid bi-weekly according to the payroll schedule. Graduate Assistants (who are not on an F-1 visa) may work 10/20 extra hours per week in addition to the required hours for the position for a total of 30 hours a week. Graduate Assistants who are on an F-1 visa are only permitted to work a maximum of 20 hours per week during academic sessions (spring and fall semesters); there may be opportunity to work during school breaks over 20 hours a week, which would be compensated at an hourly rate.
