A Family, School, or General Social Worker provides specialized assistance to vulnerable families and children. Intervenes in crisis situations; evaluates individual and family needs, helps clients get access to health care, mental health care or social services such as housing assistance. Advocates for clients and provides follow up visits. May work with teachers, parents and school administrators to help students improve academically and deal with social issues such as bullying.

Job Duties Assist with general office tasks, including scanning, copying, organizing materials, and maintaining department resources. Support communication with students, faculty, staff, community partners, and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner. Help prepare materials for workshops and other campus recruitment events. Support department events by helping with setup, registration, sign-in sheets, materials, and follow-up tasks. Help maintain bulletin boards, Information table, digital announcements, newsletters, social media content, or other approved department communications. Assist with special projects Maintain confidentiality and handle student and department information with professionalism and discretion. Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
