Description :
The Graduate Teaching Assistant in the College of Sciences and Technology serves primarily as general assistant to the instructional process. Graduate Teaching Assistants attend assigned class, may be required to assist in class activities, grade papers or examinations, hold office hours, tutor students, act as a student mentor or conduct other activities that support the instructional mission of the University. DUTIES Interfaces primarily with an assigned MSAI professor Attends and assists in an assigned MSAI class (3 hours per week) Holds office hours for their assigned class and tutor students in all sections of the same class (about 10 hours per week) Grades papers, examinations and other assignments (about 4 hours per week) Other instructional activities as needed and time permits Attends internal/external recruiting events to help represent the College (twice a semester) Qualifications Must be a current UHD student Must be admitted to the MSAI or MSDA programs All positions at the University of Houston-System are security sensitive and will require a criminal history check.
