The Clinical Coordinator, in conjunction with the Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program Director, is responsible for integrating all clinical education with didactic education. The Clinical Coordinator will serve as a full-time faculty member with teaching and administrative responsibilities within the department.
Responsibilities will include:
Coordinate, evaluate, and supervise the program's clinical component. Act as a liaison between the clinical agencies and the college maintaining open lines of communication with the Program Director. Provide student counseling and advising, as required. Maintain all student clinical records including calculation of quarterly grades. Maintain and encourage valid evaluation of each student by clinical instructor, department managers, staff sonographers, and students. Develop clinical rotational assignments, lesson plans, and schedules. Evaluate student performance during clinical visits. Review and revise performance objectives to assure valid clinical learning experiences. Review the Clinical Manual and additional Policy Handbooks annually and make recommendations to Program Director. Initiate clinical instructor evaluation by students each quarter. Coordinate clinical and didactic courses within the program as assigned
Requirements:
Education:
A minimum of a Baccalaureate degree is required. Applicant must possess an Associate or Baccalaureate in
Diagnostic Medical Sonography Credentials:
Applicants must possess appropriate credential(s) specific to one or more of the concentration(s) offered Must possess ARDMS credentials in Abdomen and Obstetrics & Gynecology RVT credential preferred
Experience:
