Job Summary:

The College of Health Sciences at Alvernia University is seeking an adjunct, gross anatomy instructor to contribute to the Master of Medical Science

• Physician Associate program.

The successful candidate will primarily facilitate large group lectures and small group lab sessions of gross anatomy in the first-year curriculum of the professional phase of the Physician Associate program.

Essential Functions:

• Teaching in the Physician Associate Program;
• Contribute to the planning, development, and evaluation of anatomy lecture and laboratory sessions within the Physician Associate Program, ensuring the curriculum aligns with the learning outcomes of the program;
• Promote adequate standards of linguistic expression in writing and speech;
• Carry out lectures, labs and responsibilities effectively;
• Prepare examination questions as well as grades for a course or portion of a course;
• Meet classes according to published schedule;
• Commit to working in a multicultural environment that fosters diversity;
• Promote Franciscan ideals and adherence to the Mission of the University as demonstrated by the University Ideal Characteristics.

• Master's Degree or higher in related field
• Minimum of 3 years of work experience in the field of anatomy
• Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience at the college/university level
• Commitment to graduate and professional education and student success
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Must be able to work independently and effectively interact with a wide array of parties at all levels (students, faculty, and administration/staff

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience teaching gross anatomy /functional with Anatomage-based labs.
