About the role The Evaluator is the first reviewer of every application. You will check files for completeness, apply CalMU's written admission criteria, evaluate unofficial transcripts for preliminary transfer credit, and prepare complete files for the Registrar. You will report to the Admissions Manager and PDSO and work closely with the Registrar and Recruitment teams. Responsibilities Review domestic and international applications for completeness and eligibility, including credentials and English proficiency documentation. Make admission and denial decisions under written admission criteria, and refer exceptions and international denials to the Admissions Manager before release. Evaluate unofficial transcripts and prepare preliminary transfer credit evaluations using CalMU articulation rules and accreditation standards. Preliminary credit is advisory until the Registrar completes the official evaluation. Prepare Enrollment Agreements for manager review. Collect official transcripts, follow up on missing documents and close admissions files. Enter decisions, notes and documents accurately in Populi and HubSpot, and protect student records under FERPA. Answer applicant questions about status, required documents and preliminary credit, and direct immigration and official credit questions to the appropriate office. Support orientation and keep admissions checklists and templates current. Cross-train on SEVIS data entry and I-20 file preparation. Required qualifications Bachelor's degree. Two or more years of experience in college admissions, registrar work, or transfer credit or credential evaluation. Hands-on experience evaluating academic transcripts for transfer credit. Working knowledge of regional and national accreditation and transfer credit practice. Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and a student information system; CRM experience. Strong written and verbal communication and attention to detail. Ability to work on site in San Diego during the posted schedule. This position is not eligible for remote work. Preferred qualifications Foreign credential evaluation experience. Experience with Populi or HubSpot. Familiarity with DEAC or BPPE standards. Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
