    Administrative Position Summary The Student Assistant
  • Athletics Equipment will provide assistance in three main areas of the equipment operation: inventory management, laundry operation, and distribution/collection of equipment. With inventory management, the student will assist in counting, data entry, and storage of athletic equipment. The Student Assistant
  • Athletics Equipment will assist in the laundering of athletic clothing and uniforms.
Education/Experience Currently enrolled Stevenson University student in good standing with the University, both academically and judicially. Knowledge/Skills/Ability Ability to work nights and weekends Must have computer skills Highly organized Self-starter and able to complete tasks on their own Excellent communication skills Attention to detail Knowledge and interest in sports and athletics equipment/operations Enthusiastic with a desire to work hard and have fun Leadership skills Physical Requirements Light work: exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Keyboarding, standing and/or sitting, walking, talking and hearing. Close visual acuity to perform an activity such as viewing a computer terminal. Subject to both environmental conditions; activities occur inside and outside. Essential Functions Daily laundry of practice and game uniforms Inventory of athletic equipment Issuing of athletic equipment Collecting equipment from athletes after their season Game day set-up of uniforms for SU home contests Keeping all equipment rooms cleaned and organized Data entry on issued athletic equipment Reports To Equipment Manager Posting Information Number of Available Positions Varies based on need of the dept.
