Job Description
Welcome House, Inc is seeking an experienced Director of Residential Services! Your leadership skills can make a difference! Welcome House is a vibrant agency with supportive staff who are committed to our mission of helping individuals with developmental disabilities live full and rewarding lives by providing a variety of residential services in an atmosphere of a caring community. The Director of Residential Services (DRS) works as part of a leadership team, in direct conjunction with the executive leadership team , site leadership , and staff to oversee the day-to-day operations of assigned sites and clients. The rewarding position is responsible for leading and managing a comprehensive array of residential services. The DRS leads a team of Residential Supervisors/ Managers and Direct Support Professionals . Each Director oversees multiple locations, 30 + clients and up to approximately 40-45 staff. Directors work as part of the team to provide Direct Care.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in a Business or Social Services related field or commensurate experience in the IDD field with at least five years professional experience and three years of senior leadership experience. Supervisory experience is required.REQUIREMENTS
- Age 21 or older
- Must have excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Must have solid computer skills and understanding of MS Word, Excel and e-mail.
- Must have strong time management, organizational , and problem-solving skills.
- Must demonstrate integrity and strong background in leading others.
- Must have a commitment to supporting persons with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities.
- Must have a belief in and understanding of Welcome House, Inc's mission and ability to promote and communicate the philosophy, mission and values to internal and external stakeholders.
- Must have reliable transportation, a valid Ohio driver's license , a clean driving record, and auto insurance.
- Must have satisfactory health, background check and drug test.
- 2+ years in the IDD field is strongly preferred
