Job Description
Reports To:
Youth Sports and Community Engagement Coordinator Supervises:
None General Responsibility:
Work to lead and deliver a high-quality Foundation Phase program that maximizes the development of youth student-athletes. This role oversees coaching delivery, player development, staff support, and program operations in alignment with the SBCSC Athletics Philosophy. The position ensures each athletic program has the best opportunity to grow and progress within the K-12 athletic pathway while maintaining high standards of safety, student development, and program integrity.Specific Responsibilities:
Plan, lead, and evaluate age-appropriate coaching sessions and competitions; oversee a designated age group; develop Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) for players; and provide ongoing feedback to players and parents to support athletic and personal development in alignment with the Athletic Performance Plan. Support part-time coaches to ensure consistent coaching standards and expectations. Coordinate training schedules, games, tournaments, and program events for student-athletes. Collaborate with support staff (sports science, medical, analysis, psychology) to support holistic athlete development when needed. Assist with recruitment, evaluation, and player retention decisions in alignment with program policies. Complete and maintain required documentation accurately and in a timely manner. Promote and maintain a safe, positive, and high-performing environment for all student-athletes. Uphold safeguarding, health and safety, and district policies at all times. Participate in ongoing professional development to strengthen coaching knowledge and skills. Develop and oversee summer and off-season programming, while monitoring participation and program implementation across all sites to support student-athlete preparation and engagement. Support the planning of recognition events and celebrations to acknowledge student-athlete achievements. Support the execution of the South Bend Schools Athletic strategic plan. Ensure the safety, organization, and cleanliness of athletic facilities and school property.Position Logistics/Benefits Pay/Salary:

Clay High School or Everwise School Field Travel to individual high schools and other locations is required. Some work from home could be required.Start Date- TBD Needs:
