Job Description

Overview Responsible for all residential services and other duties as assigned. At the discretion and direction of the CSCD Deputy Director, directs the various operations of the residential facility. The Residential Director provides executive-level leadership, oversight, and direction in planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating operations in accordance with state, federal and local laws, policies and procedures, and guidelines.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Analyzes, evaluates, and establishes residential programs, policies and procedures, and makes recommendations regarding overall residential decisions. Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local Judicial directives. Receives and reviews statistical and other reports, monitors programs, and interprets findings. Evaluates current programs, procedures, and practices on an on-going basis. Keeps the CSCD Deputy Director informed on the status of the facility. Serves as a liaison and functions as a resource person for advice and assistance to criminal justice representatives, departmental staff, and the general public regarding residential services. Assists in effective research and planning efforts to guide the facility in the development of programs and achievement of its goals. Performs other job duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, social or behavioral Sciences, or a directly related field and a minimum of 6 (six) years' experience in probation, pretrial, or other related work. Skills in business management, previous residential experience and supervisor experience preferred.

Salary:

To be discussed with candidates. Based on experience. Salary to be paid out as a condition of ongoing employment, bi-weekly per CSCD payroll operations, plus full benefits including vacation, sick leave, insurance, retirement.

Other Information:
Work Hours:

Monday through Friday, 8:00AM to 5:00PM, with evening hours and weekends frequently required based on the needs of the facility. Physical requirements include the ability to lift carry to 5 -10 pounds occasionally, visual acuity, speech and hearing, hand and eye coordination, manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer and office equipment. Subject to standing, walking, sitting, repetitive motion, reaching, climbing stairs, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, pushing, pulling, balancing, squatting, and client contact when necessary to fulfil essential functions of the position.
